Does estates.com.cy sell or rent property itself?
No. estates.com.cy is a marketplace. Owners and licensed estate agents list property here, and you deal with them directly. We are not a party to any sale or rental.
How do I contact the person behind a listing?
Open the listing. Beside the photographs there is a form, and a Call and a WhatsApp button where the lister has given a number. Your message goes to the lister by email; we do not sit in between.
Does it cost anything to search or to enquire?
No. Searching is free, sending an enquiry is free, and you do not need an account for either. Any fee or commission is agreed between you and the owner or agent you deal with.
I cannot find what I am looking for. What now?
Tell us what you need: the district, the kind of property and your budget. Your request is passed to estate agents who cover that area and property type, and they contact you directly. There is no charge and no obligation.
Who writes the listings, and are they checked?
Each listing is written by the owner or agent who posted it, and they are responsible for what it says. If something looks wrong, tell us and we will look into it. Before you pay anything to anyone, see the property and have an independent lawyer check the title.
Can I buy property in Cyprus if I am not from Cyprus?
The rules are different for buyers from inside and outside the EU, and they change. Start with our guide for buyers from outside the EU, and ask a lawyer registered in Cyprus to confirm how they apply to you.
Listing a property
Who can list a property?
Owners, and licensed estate agents and agencies. Create an account, choose a plan, and add your listing: photographs, price, location and a description.
What does it cost?
There are 3 plans. Free (free): 1 listing, standard placement, for 1 month. Basic (€12): 5 listings, 1 featured listing, for 3 months. Premium (€23): 15 listings, 3 featured listings, for 6 months. The pricing page always shows the current prices.
What is a featured listing?
A featured listing is shown ahead of the others in search results and can appear on the homepage. Paid plans include a number of featured places.
How do enquiries reach me?
By email, to the address on your account, as soon as somebody sends one. They are also kept in your dashboard under Enquiries. If you add a phone number, buyers can call or WhatsApp you from the listing.
How do I change or remove a listing?
Sign in and open My properties from the account menu. From there you can edit a listing or take it down.
Estate agents
Do agents get a profile?
Yes. An agent account has a public profile with your name, licence, contact details and every property you have listed. The agents page shows the agents with live listings.
Can I receive requests from buyers, not only enquiries on my listings?
Yes. On the agent lead subscription page you choose the areas, property types and budgets you work with. Buyer requests that match are sent to you by email and Telegram.
Does estates.com.cy take a commission?
We are not a party to any sale or rental, so there is no commission to us on a deal. What you charge your clients is between you and them.
Accounts and privacy
Do I need an account?
Not to search or to contact a lister. You need one to list a property.
I have forgotten my password.
On the sign-in page, choose "Forgot your password?" and enter your username or email. We email you a link to choose a new one.
What happens to the details I enter?
When you send an enquiry, your name, contact details and message go to the lister you are writing to, so they can answer you. The privacy policy sets out everything else.
